Rules and terms for workshop participation

General information:

These terms of workshop participation are binding for all participants of the photography workshop Brijuni led by Marko Vrdoljak, organised by Five Stars Ltd., to be held in the Brijuni National Park (Croatia). During your stay within the borders of the Brijuni National Park, you should adhere to the rules of the National Park and follow the movement of the organised group according to the workshop programme.

Application and payment of the workshop participation fee:

In order to participate in the workshop, you must fill in an application form which you can find on the workshop’s website. Workshop participation becomes valid only after the workshop organiser, Five Stars Ltd., confirms your application for participation and provides the instructions for payment of the participation fee, and after you have paid the full amount of the participation fee. Due to a limited number of workshop participants, the right of participation priority shall be determined according to the order of payment. Payment of the participation fee signifies participants’ confirmation that they are familiar with the terms and conditions for participation in the workshop and assume the obligations of the terms and conditions for participation in the workshop. The payment should be made to the giro account of the workshop organiser, Five Stars Ltd., IBAN: HR9423400091110013866, SWIFT: PBZGHR2X, at Privredna Banka Zagreb d.d., Radnička Cesta 50, Zagreb, Croatia. The reference number should include a personal identification number (VAT) – your or company, and the participant’s first and last name or company name. Please send a copy of the confirmation of payment to the e-mail address: info@fivestars.hr. Upon payment of the full participation fee, the organiser will send you an invoice at your e-mail address. Note: The payer bears all bank transaction costs.

Payment of accommodation, food, and other costs:

Accommodation, food, and other costs are paid at the reception of the Neptun Hotel***, Brijuni National Park, during check-out.

Recommended photography equipment:

It is recommended that the participants bring their own camera and additional photographic equipment (lenses, chargers, batteries, cards, backpack, tripods and filters) to the workshop, if possible. Participants that do not own their photography equipment can also join the workshop and enjoy the sights of Brijuni Islands.

Other recommended equipment:

It is recommended that the participants bring casual and multilayered clothes, as well as adequate footwear for spending time in nature and outdoors. You may want to carry a small amount of water with you during the activities.

Physical fitness:

Basic level of physical fitness is required for long walks in nature and spending time outdoors. Our planned routes do not include steep ascents or obstacles that would require a higher level of physical fitness.

Target groups:

The Brijuni National Park photography workshop is appropriate for all levels of knowledge and experience regarding photography, as well as for those who are not at all familiar with photography, but are interested to take a look at the secrets of the Brijuni NP through a photographic approach. Beginners will surely discover a wish to explore the magic world of photography, while experienced photographers will have an opportunity to learn more through many of the workshop’s challenges and photographing of rarely accessible locations. All participants will witness an immense amount of beautiful photographic scenes, which have brought the attention of generations of people to this archipelago for centuries, and the programme is designed to use the time to the maximum for photographing, acquiring knowledge about photography, and spending time in nature. The workshop is intended for participants 18 years and older.

Participant’s cancellation of participation:

Should participants wish to cancel or end their participation, this should be done exclusively in writing to the e-mail address marko@fivestars.hr. The date of written cancellation is the basis for calculation of cancellation costs, which will be kept by the workshop organiser, according to the following conditions:
For cancellation up to 45 days prior to the beginning of the workshop organiser keeps 30% of the participation fee.
For cancellation from 44 to 0 days prior to the beginning of the workshop, i.e. for absence from the workshop or participant’s cancellation of participation, the organiser keeps 100% of the participation fee.

Programme change or organiser’s cancellation of the workshop:

The workshop organiser has the right to make changes to the programme in case of external, extraordinary and unforeseen circumstances, which could not be prevented, avoided or removed, such as extreme weather conditions, natural disasters, force majeure, etc. The workshop organiser reserves the right to cancel the workshop in case of an insufficient number of participants or the occurrence of extraordinary circumstances. The organiser will inform participants of such circumstances in the shortest reasonable time, i.e. he will publish a notice with details about the workshop’s cancellation on his website. Participants have to regularly check information about the workshop on the workshop’s official website. Should the organiser cancel the workshop, the payers will receive a refund of their entire paid participation fee.

Number of workshop participants:

The number of participants in this workshop is limited with the purpose of enabling quality work with the participants, and due to organisational particularities.

Participation priority:

Due to a limited number of participants in the workshop, the right of participation priority shall be determined according to the order of the participation fee payment.

Health:

During the application for participation in the workshop, participants are obliged to inform the organiser via an e-mail message of all facts regarding their health – possible health issues, habits, etc., which might be an obstacle in their participation in the workshop (type of diet, chronic illnesses, allergies, etc.), due to adequate medical care in case of emergency. Payment of a health insurance policy is recommended.

Travel insurance:

Payment of travel insurance is recommended for participants in the workshop.

Participants’ accident insurance:

All workshop participants are insured for the duration of their stay and movement within the borders of the Brijuni National Park, and their insurance covers the following: participants’ accident insurance, liability insurance for action, insurance of passengers in transport on vessels, and insurance of passengers in electric vehicles.

Custom programme of the photography workshop Brijuni – upon request:

The photography workshop programme of the Brijuni National Park (Croatia) can be adjusted to special needs of companies, organisations, or interested groups of people and individuals, in accordance with their specific wishes and capabilities. The workshop can be organised as a teambuilding event for multiple participants, as well as a personally led workshop for individuals and very small groups.
